About Sharon Iltis

Today At Last

Singing and song writing have always been a passion of mine. I have sung and/or played guitar for about 40 years in most all types of venues including ; theater productions, restaurants, coffee shops, wine bars ,Church services, weddings, funerals, campfire sing-a-longs , and private parties. I've sung with a variety of bands including: a big band, blues band, classic rock and roll band, and accapella group. I write songs for weddings and special events such as Hold on Honey written for a fundraiser and aired on Sirius Radio across the Country. Currently I'm performing solo on a regular basis at a Local Wine Bar and cafe, in Boulder Jct.,WI. I produced a CD "Today at Last" in 2006 and am currently working on my next one which will be all original tunes. My repetoire of music includes folk, country, blues, oldies rock and roll. I like to think of my music as Soothing, hopeful, energizing, thought provoking and sometimes funny. I've trained with Gaye Adegbalola from Saffire-Uppity Blues Women who gave me the 'guts' to pursue my 'provocation' at an older age. I'm inspired by many great musicians/singer-songwriters including Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Mary Mccaslin, Jerry Jeff Walker, Carol King, Joni Mitchell, Eva Cassidy, Nanci Griffith, Allison Kraus, Kathy Mattea, Amy Grant and Susan Tedeschi. To name a few!
